No Bake Turkey Cookies

Posted in Holidays by

Every so often, our neighbor girl stays over for a sleepover. When she does, I try to have some sort of craft or activity for the girls to keep them occupied. I also like to have a fun dessert or snack if I can. And if it can be themed, all the better!!

While perusing Pinterest the other day, I was inspired to try my hand at making No Bake Turkey Cookies. I will be honest, there are a bunch on there! And they are all so cute!

I had most of the ingredients needed for the little guy I was picturing in my head. These Turkey Cookies are super adorable and really easy to make!To make these adorable little Turkey Cookies, you will need:

Striped Shortbread Cookies
Milk Duds
Melted White Chocolate Chips* dyed red or orange (This will act as your binder, or glue, so to speak. So if you don’t have chocolate chips, frosting works just fine!)
Candy Eyes

1. Place one cookie face down, with the chocolate side facing up. Take a second cookie and cut across it slicing along the bottom of the center circle.

2. Use the chocolate and spread it on the chocolate side of the smaller cut piece. Place it, face up, on top of its other half, making the cut sides as even as possible. These will be the feathers.

3. Spread chocolate on the cut sides of the cookie, then place it in the middle of the whole cookie with the chocolate side up.

4. Take a Milk Dud and “glue” two eyes on the top, then make a triangle for the beak and a little squiggle for the wattle. These Turkey Cookies are super adorable and really easy to make!

5. “Glue” the Turkey head in the center of the “feathers.”

These little guys were super easy to make and they were a huge hit with the kids.

These would be a really fun place holder for a kids’ table on Thanksgiving Day!!
