15+ Whole30 Snacks

Completing the Whole30 was not a simple task for me.. I had to refuse food at parties, which made me feel like I was coming across as better than everybody else. But believe me, that is NOT how I felt. I would have gladly eaten your homemade cupcakes or that gorgeous honey baked ham. I was trying to prove to myself that I could do this ridiculous thing they call the “Whole30.”

You don’t realize how many fun things are associated with food until you can’t have the food that is involved. “Hey! Let’s go out for some coffee….oh, wait…” (To be clear, coffee IS allowed, but I can’t do black coffee. I tried, but I just can’t.)

Near the beginning of my “journey,” I went out to a restaurant and the only compliant thing on the menu was a salad without the cheese, croutons, and sugary nuts. I didn’t worry too much though, there was still going to be bacon, avocado, and salad! But this extremely pretentious restaurant gave me a tiny bowl of lettuce and charged me $12. Yes, there was a piece of avocado on it, and a small sprinkling of bacon, as promised, but seriously? That restaurant made me swear off of eating out for the rest of my 30 days. And you know what?! I ended up saving a lot of money not going out to eat.

If you’ve seen my post with my tips on surviving the Whole30, then you know it is of the utmost importance that you plan your meals!!! Always be prepared. And have healthy, compliant snacks easily accessible.

Here are my absolute favorite Whole30 Snacks-

Energy Bites

All the fruits! (But also, take it easy on fruits. Most of them are a natural diuretic…especially dried fruits!)

Hard boiled eggs

Plantain Chips (fromTrader Joe’s)

Young Coconut

I did a FB live (above) the first time I tried a young coconut. I did not like it. But a week later, I tried another one, and I am officially obsessed!! Like seriously, obsessed.

Larabar

RX Bar (as far as bars go, these were my favorite.)

Remember, always check the ingredients!! Not all Larabars and RX Bars are compliant!

I used fruit a lot to curb my sugar cravings which is not recommended. Try to choose a variety of snacks to have on hand.

*You can eat prosciutto straight from the package, but I prefer to heat it up a bit. It makes it taste more like bacon, IMO.
