I know, I know. Gross!
But stick with me.
With the baby boy’s birthday coming up and the expected “smash cake”, I know sugar overload is imminent.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands and do what I can to keep his first sugar crash so it’s not as much of a crash…
Yes, this is made with avocado. And yes, there is plenty of chocolate involved. There is no added sugar and no butter. So awesome!
You will need:
1 avocado
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup melted chocolate chips
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
Put everything in a food processor and blend until combined.
It doesn’t taste like avocado at all! If anything, it’s a bit heavy on the cocoa powder-I’ll just do less for the actual birthday cake.
Did I mention this was my test run? I want it to be low in sugar but I also want him to like it!
And I love that I can slather a bunch of it on a graham cracker for the toddler guilt free! She LOVED it!!
So, give it a shot! You know you’re curious!…

That sounds like an amazing idea! Avacado is a good replacement for butter and because it has a neutral taste it shouldn’t taste funny. I should give this a try next time.
