Beautiful Nutrition Review and Giveaway

When we become moms, sometimes our self-care falls to the way-side. I used to take a shower every day. Now when I get ready to take one, more often than not, I can’t remember the last time I took one. Sad, I know. (For the record, its never more then three days…yes, that’s supposed to make you feel better…)

So, since I’m taking less showers, I’m washing and conditioning my hair a lot less. And I NEVER take the time to use soap all over (a bit of TMI…)! Also, do people usually lather up with some type of lotion before they get dressed? Yeah, I don’t do that either. At least I didn’t.

The good folks at Beautiful Nutrition sent me one of their “Busy Mom’s Bundle” to test out.

The bundle included ‘Cleaner Longer Rinse Out Conditioner,’ ‘Skinny Whip Bodywash,’ ‘Lemon Venom Body Lotion,’ and a convenient yellow tote.

Who wouldn’t be excited to try these out?

Cleaner Longer Rinse Out Conditioner:

I really liked this conditioner, mainly because my hair never got greasy between washes. Also, sometimes I like to let my hair air-dry without any products. Usually when I do this, my hair is a big frizzy mess. A nice unexpected surprise with this conditioner is, it looked really great! I mean, “date night” great! Again, that’s without product!

Skinny Whip Bodywash:

I have an amazing loofa. Its long and has a big handle. I love it, but I rarely use it. Now that I have the Skinny Whip Bodywash, I use it everytime I shower. I forgot how luxurious soapy foam can feel. Not to mention, it made my skin really soft. Gotta love that! The one I got smells like grapefruit which I love! Citrus always has such a refreshing feel to it!

Lemon Venom Body Lotion:

The lotion is a “naturally stimulating cellulite solution”. I didn’t take before and after pictures, so I don’t know what type of change can be expected. I can, however, tell you that the lotion feels awesome! I have sensitive skin so I can’t use highly fragranced lotions (it has a bit of a lemon smell, but it’s pretty much gone once you’re done applying it). This one goes on really nicely, my skin loves it, and it does not leave me feeling oily. I really hate feeling oily. That’s probably why I don’t use lotion unless I have to. But I’m so glad to have discovered this one!

Sounds great and I love lemon! I’ve been leaving a little lotion in the car because I”m horrible at putting lotion on my legs. This helps me remember.

I am right there with you on the lack of showering and hair washing. With three boys, I’m lucky if I get to go to the bathroom alone, so a shower is a luxury. I would say three days sounds about right. That conditioner sounds amazing, though. I might make more time if I had it!

Wow! Three boys?! It’s amazing what becomes a luxury after kids, isn’t it? Haha!

I need that conditioner! I only wash my hair every 3 days or so, and would less often if I could get away with it (my scalp gets sooo dry and flaky if I wash it too often).

I try to wash my hair every 3ish days. I have color treated hair and less frequent washing really helps the color last longer.

I wash my hair every other day or every 3 days. Sometimes I long for the days pre-kids, when I had time to take a long shower each morning and plenty of time to get ready ๐Ÿ™‚

I knew I couldn’t have been the only mama to not know when the last time she took a shower was! My sisters, both moms, thought I was either crazy or just gross when I said I don’t shower everyday (it’s a whole chore in itself). Haha. Great post! Glad we could connect on Twitter! ๐Ÿ™‚
