Marvel Universe Live!

Marvel Universe Live! is on tour, and this weekend, they’re in Seattle! My family and I, (sans the 2 year old), got to go to opening night!

We suited up in our Captain America gear, aka “Cap” t-shirts, and headed out for a fun night in the city.

I have only been a Marvel fan since the first Iron Man came out, so I may not be the best judge of the show regarding characters, villains, etc. But my husband is a big-time Marvel fan from way back, so I was stoked to go with him! He was able to tell me about some of the characters I didn’t know. We had a really great time!

The sets were incredible, and I loved the costumes! They had the old-school comic book costumes which were really awesome!

The best part by far, were the stunts! It is, after all, a “super-hero stunt show.” They started them off a bit light, then the stunts got progressively cooler as the show went on. There was fire, fighting, flips, and flying. It looked so fun, I wanted to get  in on the action!

One of my favorite stunts involved a motorcycle climbing up a wall. Ok. Maybe it didn’t ACTUALLY climb the wall, but I have no other explanation as to how it did what it did.

The downside, in my opinion was the dialogue. It was pretty hokey. Think comic book one-liners, the entire time. But from the perspective of my 4 year old Little Miss, it was an amazing show!

I don’t want to give too much away, but her favorite characters were Lizard and Black Widow. And if you’re curious, my favorite was Spiderman-which surprised me, because I always thought I was a Thor girl.

During the show I was a little concerned it might be too scary, but she assured me the scary parts were her favorite.

Marvel Universe Live!

All in all, Marvel Universe Live! is a fantastic show for the kiddos! I would say the show is geared towards kids 12 and under. The hokey dialogue can be easily overlooked by us parents because the stunts were so amazing! Plus the kids love it-and it’s all about the kids, right?! I can honestly say, I’ll be hearing about it for the next several weeks from my sweet girl.

A message from the Producers:

This is Marvel’s first-ever, LIVE arena event, with more than 25 Super Heroes and Villains battling for the Universe, right before your eyes. No wonder it’s turned out to be the most awesome undertaking in the more than 40-year history of Feld Entertainment. Of course, every year, our goal is to surpass expectations and make every new show the unforgettable event of a lifetime, for every age, audience and family.

If you missed it this weekend in Seattle, they’ll be in Tacoma next weekend!! And if you aren’t in the Seattle area, they still have plenty of stops left on their tour. You can buy tickets online here.  Check out their website to see if they’re headed to your city.

**Disclosure: I received tickets for myself and three guests to attend Marvel Universe Live! All opinions are my own.

A stunt show actually sounds really awesome (and a bit nerve-wracking hoping no one hurts themselves)! I can definitely see the dialogue being over-the-top though! Sounds fun overall 😀

How exciting! My kids are just getting into superheros, so if they come to Texas, I’d be tempted to get tickets too. A motorcycle climbing? That’s pure genius.
